'Gastroesophageal reflux disease, or GERD, is a digestive disorder that affects the lower esophageal sphincter (LES), the ring of muscle between the esophagus and stomach. Many people, including pregnant women, suffer from heartburn or acid indigestion caused by GERD

when i was 1st told i have GERD, i followed all the rules. i ate healthy & i worked out. i lost over 30lbs

hello my fellower suffers, NEED SUGGESTIONS. i recently had a horrible health experience and my acid reflux took some of the blame. when i was 1st told i have GERD, i followed all the rules. i ate healthy & i worked out. i lost over 30lbs. everything was good except the side effects of my meds. so i started to lose focus and i started to eat poorly again because apparently i love food more than my body and health. so after this recent event took place, i realize i can't continue this path. my body won't let me. i have to go back to dieting and exercising. so i was wondering if you guys can give meal suggestions? what do you eat for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, & snacks? i understand what may work for you might not work for me. however i would still like to try out any recipes you guys would recommend. thx in advance

hard boil eggs, rice, pasta w/a little bit of olive oil, sea salt helps with mundane flavors. Really non tasty food until you feel well. Green tea with kombucha, Kombucha Tea drink, water, no coffee. Snacks raisins. Dinner, chicken broiled or baked, fish same...veggies and more veggies. No acidic fruits. :)

Take a daily probiotic, in two to 3 weeks you should feel better. Exercise daily. :)

Like you said it's different for everyone.. but a doctor gave me a list that I should stay away from and from there you can experient with anything outside of these things and find what you can an cannot handle. It really helped me.
Acidic foods, beverages
Anything with bad fats, greasy/oily
Anything Spicy
Peppermint
Try to eliminate as much stress from your life as possible! This is huge!
And then raise the head of your bed
experiment with these foods and see which ones work for you:)
Just about any meat
Pasta
Rice
Beans
Oatmeal
Eggs
Vegatables,
if you go onto a site called allrecipes. Com you can find some amazing dishes made with vegetables etc.:)

I have Gerd, acid reflux and diabetes so morning-egg, lunch watermelon and dinner 45 carb per meal. None of it makes me happy. Its just as it is...But I am thankful
