'Gastroesophageal reflux disease, or GERD, is a digestive disorder that affects the lower esophageal sphincter (LES), the ring of muscle between the esophagus and stomach. Many people, including pregnant women, suffer from heartburn or acid indigestion caused by GERD

Has anyone had any success with turmeric to treat acid reflux?

Loya Gonzalez Yeah, works for me I juice it every other day and 2 x day 500 mg capsules on the days I don't juice, when I'm having a flare up.

My Functional GP has me on 800mg Thercurcumin, I took it for awhile and didn't really notice any changes. Then I recalled how curcumin should be taken with black pepper and be boiled together for a minimum of 7 minutes (lol I do not recall the source, it's been filed away in my brain for awhile). I've started doing this daily with meat broth (histamine issues so no bone broth) but it's too early to know if it's doing anything for my inflammation but it doesn't aggregate my gerd :)

I take it daily for arthritis and it does help. Make sure it's good quality, do your research and do not take on a empty stomach as it will aggrevate Gerd and acid reflux. I take one right before breakfast and I'm usually okay. I take capsules.
