Some things that helped me cope with my GERD

Hi i'm new here. Allow me to share some things that helped me cope with my GERD. I drink a tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinnegar a day (google it) before each meal, as it helps some people who have GERD. Also, Digestive Enzyme supplements helped with reducing gas (which is very bad for acid reflux) and helps my digestion.

I also avoid certain fruits and veggies that are known to cause gas (beans, cabbage, etc) as gas will agravate the reflux. I also eat fat free, lactose free milk/cheese/ice cream. It makes them much easier to digest. Finally, I also can still enjoy "fried" foods if I use an "Air Frier" (look on Amazon, they use absolutely NO oil). Even still, always eat small meals. Eating more meals per day, yet keeping these meals small in portion, will keep you plenty satisfied.

Hope these help. It's no cure, but it helps.

I'm not sure about that, but that "chemical shit storm" sure as hell helped me eat dairy more without reflux. By the way, everything is a chemical.

Also the only scientifically proven downside to low fat foods are when people go on low fat diets. I am not suggesting a low fat diet. I am suggesting cutting out foods high in saturated fat. Cheeses especially have this problem.

Exactly....and fattier types of meats with other additives like sausage, ham, etc.

If you cut sugar down to 1/100th you will be doing your immune system, insulin system, probably your digestive system all a lot of favours, AND your body will cheerfully cope with all the fats in your diet
