Anyone's acid reflux affect their breathing? Like always breathing deeply and cant seem to get a deep breath. Can the acid inflame the airways?

Cristina Macias
not sure about that but I read somewhere that it tighten the esophagus making it hard for us to breath, it happens to me when I go too far with acidic food

Jessi Mallory
That’s the same symptoms I’ve been having. I have to deep breathe or force myself to yawn all day.

Michael Berrios
Thats exactly what i have to do.

Jessi Mallory
How long has it been going on?

Michael Berrios
I wanna say about 10 years on and off.

Pam Alexander
Wow! That's exactly what i do. Glad to know I'm not the only one 😞

Kristen Kerschen
I have to yawn as well its embarrassing cus i do it all the time at work when i have a flare up.

Cindy Quesenberry
Yes my doctor says it's common.... unfortunately. The acid splashes up into our esophagus and can be inhaled into our lungs causing asthma-like symptoms. It's miserable. I was told to sleep propped up, low acid diet, and do not eat 3 to 4 hours before bedtime.

Marie Roy
I'm having that symptom now.

Stephanie Jones
Unfortunately yes. I was diagnosed with asthma because of this & the inhaler doesn't help.

Michael Berrios
Ive been taking a digestive enzyme with a probotic for a week and seems to help alittle.

Elizabeth Rudd Greene
I found Nature Made Digestive probiotics a big help, especially for gas and bloating.

Sometimes need a deep breath, especially when it’s raining or when it’s going to rain soon. It’s weird. I think it’s the air pressure for me. Oh and also Protonix messed with my breathing.

Michael Berrios
